About The Program

The Ekiti State MSME Empowerment Program is a partnership between Wema Bank and the Ekiti State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment to train and empower 100,000 micro, small and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) that are operating within Ekiti State. Beneficiaries of the program will gain access to virtual and physical training sessions covering business management, digitalization, and financial management. They will also have access to mentorship support from experienced and successful entrepreneurs from within and outside Nigeria.

Beyond training, participants will also be provided with ongoing support mechanisms like mentorship, access to markets, and assistance in securing finances to scale their operations. This comprehensive approach ensures that our program not only enhances the capabilities of MSMEs but also facilitates their sustained growth and contribution to the economic development of Ekiti State.

What is the programme all about?

The Ekiti State-Wema Bank MSME Empowerment Program is a partnership between the Ekiti State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment and Wema Bank to train and empower 100,000 MSMEs operating in Ekiti State with in-demand business management, financial management and digital skills.

How is the programme structured?

The programme comprises physical training sessions in strategic locations across Ekiti State. Apart from the physical training sessions, there would also be follow-up virtual training sessions, business mentorship sessions with experienced and successful entrepreneurs from within and outside Nigeria, access to finance opportunities, and access to market opportunities.

Yes. All participants will be issued certificates of participation after their successful completion of the program.
